Mem Memoirs: Issue 1 — Discovering Ourselves

“Mem Memoirs” is the work of Masahat’s research and documentation team. The first issue was published in May 2019, the beginning of a series of documentary booklets that record oral history and the everyday lived experiences of the groups least represented in queer discourse, and of people living outside the capitals of Sudan and Egypt. The first booklet tells the stories of self-discovery of lesbian women, queer trans women and queer women.
